NRA 2012: A successful event in Chicago
The NRA, held at Chicago’s McCormick Place May 5-8, has proven to be one of the most relevant industry events on Sammic’s 2012 calendar.
This edition has seen a positive growth in attendee and exhibitor numbers, and Sammic being at a privileged location has noticed a positive influx of visitors from the previous year. The 2012. But it has not all been an increase in quantity of visitors, quality has been on the rise as well. This show has enabled Sammic team to meet with many of its representatives, consultants, dealers and end users both from North and South America and get them acquainted with the new product introductions.. Moreover, during this days new business opportunities have arisen from all corners of the Nation and new rep groups have been added to the network.
Sammic’s team at the show was made up of Xabier Goenaga, Agustín Quesada and Gorka Agirrezabal from Sammic headquarters in Spain, and Jorge Bianchi, James Pearson and Julen Ibarzabal from the US subsidiary
Showcased lines at the show were Food Prep Equipment (commercial food processors, combination vegetable prep-vertical cutter mixers, potato peeler machines and planetary mixers), Food Preservation (vacuum pack machines and accessories) and Cutlery Dryers & Polishers.
The brand new line of Thermal Cirtulators and Water Baths for Sous Vide cooking were showcased at this event to complement the already successful vacuum packing machine line. Feedback on the sous vide units has been so positive and this new category is likely to be added to the US product offering in the near future.
