Notice of urgent repair for Sammic portable liquidisers due to risk of electrocution

Models XM-21 / XM-22 / MB-21 / MB-22 / B-20 / MM-20 / MM-20V / XM-31 / XM-32 / XM-33 / MB-31 / B-30 / MM-30 / MM-30V

We have initiated the repair process for certain portable liquidisers in the XM-20 and XM-30 ranges due to a safety defect that could pose a risk of electric shock or electrocution.

This action only affects certain units of the models indicated.

The portable liquidisers affected by the risk of electrocution require a simple but necessary intervention, consisting of the replacement of the quick coupling part, in order to improve electrical insulation.

The replacement of this part does not modify the characteristics of the machine or its functionality. Once the intervention has been completed, the machine will maintain its usual performance and operating conditions.

The intervention will be coordinated by Sammic.

What should I do now?

If you have a Sammic portable liquidiser from the XM-20 or XM-30 series, please follow these steps:

1. Stop using the machine immediately and do not use it again until the corresponding intervention has been completed.

2. Check whether your machine is affected by entering its activation number in the form available on this page.

3. If the machine is affected, follow the instructions displayed on screen.

4. If you have any questions, contact Sammic via: recall@sammic.com.

How to find the activation number

The activation number, also known as the registration code, can be found on the machine’s rating plate, directly below the QR code. You can also find both the QR code and the activation number on your machine’s warranty document.

Important: any portable liquidiser with a serial number starting with 3031 or higher is not subject to the corrective measure, as it already has an updated base unit.

Once you have checked the status of your machine, if it is affected, a “Request replacement part” button will appear. From there, complete the form and follow the instructions displayed on screen.

The replacement part and the intervention will be managed by Sammic or through its authorised distribution network.
